Terms and Conditions

Delivery Policy

When purchasing on our Shopping Cart you will be asked to choose a delivery option. Collection is from Milford, North Shore. We may be able to deliver to the next sailing event or courier the item at your cost. When you want the item sent by courier, we will send an invoice with payment details and freight costs directly from Xero.

We aim to courier your product within two days after payment is received.  Please email neil@wetnwindy.com or phone 021 724577 if you do not receive it within this time and we will track it for you.

Please note that delivery dates are a best estimate and are given in good faith but are not to be treated as a condition of sale. No claim shall be made by you on account of late delivery however caused. Late delivery shall not constitute a breach of contract by us, and you shall not be entitled to cancel the contract because of late delivery.

Refund / Returns Policy

Faulty goods

If you think your goods are faulty return them to us in person or send them to us with a covering letter containing your contact details, date of purchase, receipt and any relevant information. We  cannot refund without a receipt.

Once we have received the goods, we will assess the problem and contact you to discuss the options. Our first option will be to repair or replace the goods, if this is not possible we will refund the purchase price. Replacement goods will be sent freight free.

Unused goods

Goods complete in their original package and unused may be returned to us for a refund within 5 days after purchase. This does NOT apply to items that have been specially ordered or modified to your specifications (eg newly registered boats, sails with sail numbers attached). No refunds can be given but we may be able to help resell the item for a fee.

Proof of Purchase

We require a copy of your receipt or as many details about the transaction as possible to allow us to find the transaction on the accounting system.

Refunds

Will be made using the same form as the original payment and will exclude the cost of freight and any bank charges. If there is an international refund it will not include any varances in exchange rate.

Orders/Purchase Policy

Goods ordered on the website need to be approved (stock checked) and costed for shipping. An invoice from Xero will be sent separately with the full costs. Payment can be made by online banking or cash. Payments made via Paypal (Internationally) will occur a 3.9% surcharge (plus 0.50c per order). Payment made by paying in vcash at a bank will occur a $3 charge as this is charged to us from the bank.

Boat Registration

Boats purchased as a block by Wet n Windy will be registered with the latest number allocated to the person that paid (completes payment) the earliest. This will continue until the latest paid boat. Discounted boats (early payment discounts) will not be given preference over later non discounted boats. (eg if someone buys a stock boat before it is landed.)

All Team Winner boats are to be registered by Wet n Windy. They will be registered consecutively. The same process to above will apply.

Sails – Courier policy

When sails are sent by courier, we cannot control how the parcel is handled. There is always a possibility the parcel could be dropped on its end during transit. This can cause the sail inside the parcel to be crushed/creased on that end. Wet n Windy cannot be held responsible for sails damaged whilst in transit. If you have signed that the parcel is damaged, taken photos and informed us immediately that you receive the parcel, we can put a claim in with the Courier company. We try to package the sails so they are secure within the parcel. If you do not want this risk, please pick up your sails from our Milford address or arrange someone to package your sail on your behalf.

Charter Boatsbooking and cancellation policy

Charter boats are not confirmed until full payment is received and the Charter document returned.

If you are unable to make an event, having paid for a charter boat, a refund (minus a 15% administration fee) will be made IF the boat is re-chartered. If the boat is not re-chartered you are liable for the full amount which is non refundable. Should the event be cancelled at least 14 days prior to the event you will be refunded your charter fee minus a 15% administration fee. If the event is postponed you will be offered the charter boat for the rescheduled event. If you are unable to attend an event and the boat cannot be rechartered, there are no refunds. You are welcome to apply for special circumstance refunds that we will look at on an individual basis.

Covid 19 effects on shipping costs

Due to Covid 19 and its impact, prices for goods that have to be imported may have to change. This is due to possible large increases in shipping costs. We will where possible, maintain our pricing but reserve the right to change pricing on certain lines should this occur.

Mailing list

By placing an order or purchasing an item on this website and/or being billed via Xero for product purchased, you are authorising WetnWindy to add you to our mailing list for occasional marketing e-mails. If you want to be removed from the list please advise or unsubscribe using the link on the e mail.

Win a JSail promotion

When entering the “win a JSail”promotion you are authorising WetnWindy to add your details to our mailing list. WetnWindy can choose whom wins the prize by any method they decide and this will depend on the response to the marketing. The sail will be provided with numbers ready to apply. If you wish WetnWindy to apply the numbers it will cost $45. No cash alternative will be offered in place of the sail.

Foils

Foils are susceptible to warping if left in the sun or hot environments. We ask customers to check their foils at the time they are collected to ensure they are satisfied with them. Once they leave us WetnWindy is not responsible if the foils warp. Warped foils can be straightened by placing a weight on the foils. We are happy to advise. Foils can not be returned or exchanged once they have left Wet n Windy. We do not (unless by arrangement) deliver or send foils via couriers. If we do agree to send foils it will be at the purchasers risk should the foils become warped. There is no way we can control how the courier companies handle the package and the temperature of the van.

Boats and Payment

All payments for boats are to be received in full before collection. The ownership of any boat and its parts remains with Wet n Windy Limited until full payment is received. If a new boat needs registering it can not be registered unless full payment has been received. Payment for boats is only allowable by bank transfer. No payment or part payment by credit card will be allowed.

Credit Card Payments

Credit Card payments will be subject to a surcharge and fee. For NZ credit cards there is a 2.9% surcharge and a 30c transaction fee per payment. For International payments there is a 3.9% surcharge and a 30c fee per payment.
