Initial Tuning the V2 sails – best to see JSail Guide

About the tuning guide for Jsail 2.0, we have some tips for now, but we still working about it.

Mast rake settings depend on the sailor, most important is to keep the boat balanced. Best if you start from 284 and then experiment.

Ties on the boom distance around 6-8mm, be very careful with outhaul, its very important to avoid closing leech to much.

For maximum performance of the new red sail the sailor must work a lot with the mainsheet at all conditions !!

Basic trimming guide for RED 2.0 below :

Light wind

Rake 280-281

Keep the upper and down ties little looser  and work your way tighter to the middle. Sprit loose and have some wrinkles  if its flat no, wrinkles with wave.

Medium

Rake 282-283

Keep the sail ties ballanced. Good tention in the sprit. Luff tention no wrinkles.

Hard wind

Rake if he has control go a bit higher if not start decreasing.

Ties oposite from light. Strong tention on the luff.

Blue 2.0

Ties on mast constant 2-3mm

Mast rake from 282- 285 (depends on personal felling and sailor weight)

Keep the sail little losser on ties and cunningham.

Very important to always work with sheets, and avoid closing leech to much, in low and medium wind condition wrinkles on boom is OK, in stronger wind outhaul little much more but without big wrinkle on bottom.

Green 2.0

Ties on mast 2-3mm

Ties on boom – 6-8mm

Mast rake similar like in others

Avoid closing leech to much with outhaul and boom regulation, working with sheet is also very important to find best setting for different sailors.

Best Regards
