**We are now sold out of charter boats until the 2024 to 2025 season.**

WetnWindy charters boats during the season and for the NZ Optimist Nationals. These boats can be purchased during the year, unless they are already pre-chartered for an event. GO TO THE SHOP

Charter boats are slightly cheaper than new boats and can come with extras, like a top cover, trolley, foil cover and rig bag. A sail can be added at a great price to make a package. As Charter Boats are not used very often, they are in better condition than boats the same age sailing at clubs..

Charter Boats are priced as a package, but if you want to exchange the used parts for different new parts and pay the difference, we can supply a price. WetnWindy can sell a hull only if required, or any variation you require.

Winner Boats for Charter

Optimists are available for most events when we have stock:

  • Icebreaker Regatta – Murrays Bay, Auckland
  • Win Champs – Murrays Bay, Auckland
  • North Island Champs (occasionally ask) – Alternates New Plymouth, Taupo, Napier
  • Sir Peter Blake Regatta – Torbay
  • Auckland Champs –  Venue varies in Auckland
  • Oceanbridge Regatta –
  • InterIslander – Only if demand is sufficient – please ask.
  • NZ Optimist Nationals – Venue Varies.
  • Other regattas by arrangement.

To charter a boat for any other regatta not on the list, please ask and we will let you know if we can help!

Charter boats are supplied complete (ex-sail) with N1 foils, Optimax Mk4 or Mk3 rig, bailers, paddle, tow rope, buoyancy bags, trolley, top cover, foil bag and often a spar bag. We are usually able to deliver to the event and pick it up after but this will depend on the venue.
